My childminding service is primarily for children who are well. To admit children who are not well could cause a risk to myself, my family and to the other children. For these reasons I will be unable to accept a child who appears to be unwell. The child will be excluded for the length of time appropriate to their condition.
All parents will be notified if any child has an infectious disease and CSSIW will be notified of any serious diseases.
Although parents have to be informed of any illnesses in my childminding setting every effort will be made to respect confidentiality. If a child becomes ill whilst in my care the parents will be informed and asked to collect their child immediately.
